The Clan Derak'tul occupy the forest surrounding the SSM. They live on the ground, but many of the Clan's members are known to prefer the trees. Tents of varying sizes signify the actual homes, if you can make them out within the forest. The Derak'tul, like most Morbians, are of the land, and hold a high respect for nature in all it's forms. Along with this respect, is a long-standing tradition of never building a home or anything of the kind that will stand out from the surrounding vegetation. Their tents are made to blend in with the forest around them, and with the exception of some cooking fires, there does not appear to be much of a mark of their living here all these years. Most of their tents are made to come down for travel, not so much as a need to travel, but more as a precaution, should the need arise.

     All Clans have a select deity or deities that are worshipped, sometimes more than one. Isla is recognized by all the Clans, and they all know her, but in the case of the Derak'tul she is the only one worshipped, where as other Clans may worship a lower God or Goddess as well.
