Drag-and-Drop Tutorial Bring up two windows. Put the Delphi ftp page in back, with your "My Documents" page in front so you can see what you're dragging over. (Incidentally, if you can only see file names and Microsoft icons, and would like to see thumbnails of your pictures, you can change what you see by clicking on the view icon on the selection window - the one that looks kind of like a miniature calendar page.)
Drag over the files and graphics you want, pulling them from your "My Documents" folder to the Delphi folder. Note: If you are dragging over an entire page and it contains graphics, you have to drag both the page and the graphics, or they won't show!
Once you've done that, congratulations! Your files are on Delphi and ready to view. To see them, type this address into your browser*: http://people.delphiforums.com/Your_Delphi_Name/Your_filename.htm Replace "Your_Delphi_Name" with the DelphiPlus name you use to log in, and Your_filename with the name of the file you uploaded - for example, 'fern.jpg' or if a web page, 'jump.html'. *Be sure you do NOT copy the properties from a file in the ftp folder you're looking at when you upload. If you copy your file from there instead of using the above url format, you could be displaying your Delphi password to the whole world. © 2003 by LeiLani Dawn |
