Messages Header

The message board for the game can be found either by taking our Delphi.com link at the bottom of any page and then clicking on the Messages tab at the top, or one may go directly to http://www.delphi.com/SunsetMoon/messages to skip the extra page loading. A third way to get to the MB from here is to click on one of the messages in the Message Preview sample below. ((This is a working preview. Clicking on one of the thread titles will take you to the message board.)) There is also a chatlist preview. This will show if there are any chats active, and when clicked on, take you directly to the chat page of the forum.

There are a few things you need to know for how to navigate the MB's, no matter what Delphi.com forum you happen to be on. This explanation hopefully will allow you to wander into the Delphi.com home for the game without feeling entirely lost. =^_^= And as always, if you have questions, either email the forum email on the home page of this site, or use one of the direct emails on the About page to get myself or my Co-Owner an email.

The message boards on Delphi.com are set up as follows: When you enter the message board, there are two frames. On the left hand side is a folder list, under which all the active threads are listed by what folder they are in, and the right hand side will load the most recently posted to thread on the forum automatically. To navigate between the threads, go to the left hand side of the screen. Here you will see a list of folders. Under each folder name will be a list of thread titles. To view a particular thread, simply left click once on the name of the thread, and it will load into the right hand side of your screen.

To post a reply to a current thread, click the Reply button located at the bottom of the post you wish to respond to. All posts in every thread have a Reply button unless the discussion has been labelled as "Read Only" or "Closed." This will then load a new screen, in which you see a number of things. From the top of the screen down, you will see the folder name, then the thread name. Then in a data field, you will see the login to which you are replying. Next to that will be the buttons reading "Others" and "Post."

Below that is the blank text field. Type your message in this field. Below that field there is another filed that allows you to type in emails of people you may wish to have the post emailed to. There are also two other options between the two text fields. One is for the occasion if you HTML coding in the message, and the other gives you the option to either post the message directly to the message board, or have it sent through Delphi.com to the email of the person you are replying to.

There are also a "Post" and "Cancel" button underneath the main text field as well, should you decide after you've loaded the page that you don't wish to make a post. This will take you back to the message board. When you are done typing your message, click on the "Post" button, and you will be given a screen letting you know that the message has been posted. Click on the "Continue" button to get back to the MB. Also on this screen is a buttone labelled "Preview." This is a good way to see what your post will look like before posting it. It is especially good for messages posted that contain HTML coding in them, as it allows you to be sure you have the coding right, and avoid some lengthy editing time.

The only things I and my Co-Owner insist upon when posting a message to the MB, is that in doing so you respect the other posters, and that you attempt to put your message into the proper folder. If you're not sure where it goes, or what category to put it under, then the "Anything That Don't Fit" folder is a perfect option. *grin* That is what it's there for.
