The Sunset Moon Inn and Tavern lies partially built into a hill about a days' walk from the Kingdom of Tessian, on foot. The land that it lies on is under the Royal protection of the Kingdom of Tessian, as well as lying on lands inside Morbian territory, more specifically, the Clan Derak'tul, and the Clan Sherahk. The Inn is also afforded protection and aid from House Aressendil of M'hazira as High Admiral Shavrakh is blood brothers with Katamai Arashikage, one of the Inn's owners.

     The Inn is three floors, and a basement. It also has a garden, a lake at the bottom near the trade route, a porch out front and back, and the forest on one side. The first floor has the main bar area, a library/quiet room, the office, kitchen, and several storage closets. The second floor holds the guest rooms, a couple more storage closets, and locked access to the attic on the third floor.

     The front of the Inn faces the lake and trade route at the bottom of the hill on the Inn's north side. The trade route runs through a forest, which eventually comes out at the walls of the Kingdom of Tessian, and there's a garden out back on the hill behind the Inn's south side. The forest runs from the trade route on the north side around to the east side, and the mountains are on the west.
