Golden Eagles






A juvenile Golden Eagle seen heading north on 16 March 2003 at Allegheny Front Hawk Watch. Young Golden Eagles characteristically have an inner white tail band and white around the inner primaries and secondaries of the wings.






Another juvenile Golden Eagle seen on 16 March 2003. Golden Eagles are most common during the first half of March during the spring migration and between mid-October and the end of November in the fall at Allegheny Front Hawk Watch.
