This one is from some where in SouthWest Wisconsin

This is a view of my backyard.

This one is from Madeline Lake in Northern Wisconsin, the Woodruff area. Northern WI is a great place to ride. Having a small trailer on the Lake makes for a great destination for us and encourages long rides.

The first picture is a bar in Crandon Wisconsin that hasn’t changed in the 40 years that I’ve known about it. The second picture is our favorite breakfast spot on the WI, UP MI border in Presque Isle WI. What a wonderfull place it is.
This is my son, Mr. Soup and I call him Hardbags. He likes to come along on our long rides. The Red Car is welcome storage space for coolers and warm clothes. We did over 650 miles on this day. Saw 3 states and some beautiful scenery.

Hardbags is riding a ZR7S 750 Kawasaki. It is a Sport styled standard motor cycle. This is one very nice motorcycle. I guess Mr. Soup and I will be losing our luggage capacity on our long trips this year. We might even have to come up with a new nickname for him. Here is how my bike looks for the 2001 riding season. I have made it a comfortable long distance touring cruiser. I did this because I have set a goal of completing at least one of the Iron Butt Assoc. long distance touring challenges. I did't get it done in 2001 but there is always nextyear.

It has been equipped with a Lazy Rider Cycle bag, hardbags (from fellow SRFer Dave), frame mounted lowers, hand deflectors, Kelly boards, a throttle lock ala Ted53 and a Slip Stream Hellfire Cruiser fairing.
This gray bike is my favorite Harley Davidson. It actually has a lot of features that my Honda does not have. Front and rear suspension adjustment is the most notable. The fairing adjusts nicely. For me this approaches the perfect bike for commuting and one up touring. There are 2 things that hold me back from seriously considering it though. The first is that it costs $12,000 more than the Spirit. The second is that it does not have the water cooled VT1100 dual pin Honda motor in it.

As long as I'm dreaming I might as well include the HD V-Rod (WaterBoy) in bikes I'd like to own. HD went and made an 1100 water cooled motor for this one! Who would have thunk it.
This is Mr. Soup (yes he really is my younger brother) and his Spirit. This picture was from our very first ride together. We are both still smiling.
Click the pic to go to Mr. Soup's Web Page! He is very good at this web page stuff. He has links to the 2001 Honda Hoot Information along with a database of who from the SRF is going to the 2001 Hoot. He is making one for the 2002 Hoot also.
Click the pic to go to the Shadow Riders Forum there are some good people there. We get a few trolls now and then to make things interesting. Don't let that stop you from checking out the Shadow Riders Forum,
