The Bean's Delphi Web Space

Hi! I am a MSN TV (WebTV) user, so I've decided to use this space to teach other MSN TV users how to create a web page here at Delphi Forums. You can't do it the same way that the computer users do, but if I can do it, you can too.

The information on this page is written in hopes that even a complete beginner can follow it, so if you are more experienced, I hope you will understand that I am not trying to insult your intelligence. I only hope that I have explained things well enough.

To use your Delphi web space, first you will need to activate it by clicking on the "Manage your web space" link on the left side of your "Myforums" page (if you haven't already done so). After that, you may never need to use that link again, but you will need to learn to use one or both of these online tools (depending on what you want to use your web space for):

• The Transloader or Freeloader will help you move images and sound files to you web space. You can then use these in your e-mail signature, your Delphi Forums signature or on your Delphi web page.

• To edit your Delphi web page, or delete or rename files, you will need to learn to use a web-based FTP Program.

Now you can also view, delete or rename files in your web space by using Delphi's own Web Space Manager! Delphi Plus members will find a link to the Web Space manager on their "My Forums" page, and at the end of every Delphi Forums message thread.

(Note: Delphi's Web Space Manager will still not allow you to upload files or edit your web pages.)
