The Florida Smallpipe School 2005

Here are some of the highlights from the 2005 school! As well as a fantastic learning opportunity, we have a lot of fun and entertainment throughout the week.

Barry Shears and his lovely wife, Margaret, were here for the week from Nova Scotia. We are honored that they have agreed to return in 2006!

For anyone who has never taken a workshop with Barry .... DO IT!!! Barry's knowledge of piping history is nothing short of incredible. Combined with his abilities as a piper and musician, the experience is one you don't want to miss! Barry is one of the most personable pipers I have had the pleasure to meet and is willing to share his knowledge when asked. We are all looking forward to classes with Barry in 2006!

In the front is Bruce and his new best friend, Samantha!

This is a typical class.

When not in class, students may opt to practice on their own. Here is Brian working diligently while Samantha looks on!

More of the class room studies.

On Wed. evening, we have traditionally had a party of sorts. This year, we were priveledged to have Robert Watt and Emma from Ireland join us! They are both VERY talented musicians and I would encourage anyone who had the chance to see them or buy their CDs! Here are some photos of our Wed. night!
