Recommended Alternator Belt: Gates HD #5726 - this is a non stretch heavy duty belt used in ambulance service.

NOTE: If you have ever lost an alternator belt you may have bent your water pump pulley. If you have ever lost the AC or PS belt soon after losing the alternator belt, your water pump pulley is bent. The water pump pulley should be replaced with a new pulley from FORD prior to adding an idler puller to your belt system.
