Count Katamai Arashikage of House Aressendil and the Morbian Clan Derak'tul. Known to most simply as "Kat" or "Katamai" he dislikes being called by his title, almost as much if not more as his wife. He earned the Aressendil name by becoming blood brothers with High Admiral Shavrakh Aressendil of M'hazira some time ago. Together with his wife he runs the Sunset Moon Inn and Tavern, as a Bartender and Guardian. The tavern doubles as the family's home, where they also care for their four year old daughter.
Katamai is a Morbian, with brown wavy hair usually pulled back into a ponytail that reaches just below his waist, blue eyes and sky blue wings that he recieved not long before his daughter's birth. He weighs in at 203 pounds, stands 6'1" tall, and is about 3,000 years of age, being a Morbian. He is a member of the Clan Derak'tul, along with his wife and child. He is quite loyal to those he cares about, and should someone decide to toy with a member of his family, their tongue will most likely grace his mantle, along with the other four he has taken.
He is able to control aspects of the earth, and his skin can harden as much as to be diamond on his will. He carries a pair of mithral sai, which when cutting into another, prevent healing by magic. The wounds caused by these weapons cannot be healed magically at all.
Countess Seliah du'Kasi Shr'Lan Aressendil Arashikage of Clan Derak'tul. She is one half Faery, and one half Human and is known to friends simply as "Sel" or "Seli." She does not like to be called by her title either, and most times will leave it out when introducing herself to someone new. She has reflective silver eyes that change colours depending on how she's feeling at the time, and silver wings that take on the colour and lighting of wherever she happens to be at the time. Long straight snow-white hair hangs in thick waves to mid-back, usually allowed to hang freely.
She is the wife of Katamai Arashikage and mother of Kilena, co-owner of the Sunset Moon Inn and Tavern. She is a Fire Elemental, and stands only 5'0" tall, weighing in at all of 95 pounds...soaking wet. *G* She has a blue mark, that crosses her forehead to dip down between her eyes in a "V" shape, and similar markings around her wrists and ankles. The "V" on her wrists goes up over the top of her hand, the pointed end towards the knuckles, and the ones on her ankles dip down, the pointed end of the "V" towards the floor. The flat blue lines wrap completely around both ankles and wrists, unlike the one across her brow which stops at the hairline. These are not tatoos, or marks of that nature. The skin's pigmentation literally changed to what it is currently when she was granted an increase in powers from her Goddess, Vaislah.
She carries Katamai's old pair of sai, though she also keeps these dipped in a highly toxic, extremely potent nerve toxin that only needs to get into the bloodstream to kill. She also carries two small daggers tucked into her boots, and Townsaver, which was given to her by Khelan du'Kasi - the wandering bard that raised her. While she can use it, and use it well, her skills reside more potently with her psionics, magicks, and speed. She can make good use of the sword - but she is far more deadly with her Fire magicks, mental attacks, and sheer speed with her sais than with Townsaver.
She is a Healer and Bard in addition to her bartending duties at the Sunset Moon. She is, as well, by relationship if not blood, sister to Princess Silver and Prince Jarrod of the Kingdom of Eytaynia, and holds the rank of Colonel in the Eytaynian military, as well as being the Royal Healer for both Jarrod and Silver. To this end, her dress uniform holds the Eytaynian Royal crest upon one shoulder, and an emblazoned version of her Morbian Clan marking upon the other, to honour both the Derak'tul whom she married into, and the snow-and-ice bound Eytaynia. On rare occasions she may also play the part of a bodyguard for either Jarrod or Silver - or both - when it is neccessary, though again, she relies upon her speed, agility, magicks and psionics for this, as well, rather than brute strength.
Seliah is a soft spoken woman, but is truly befitting of her Element. She has a spirit of fire, in many ways, being just as fierce as the Fires that feed her. She is utterly loyal to her family and friends, and will not hesitate to lay her life on the line to help a friend in need. She tends to be very forgiving, and giving both; of herself and abilities and anything else that one might need, be they friend or stranger. She has been known to heal even those that attacked her. Her temper is easily brought forward, but she is not easily goaded into a fight of any kind, and is never the one to pull first blade or draw first blood in such circumstances, though she will defend herself or those she cares about should the need arise.
Do not let her soft manner, and her willingness to give, and to forgive fool you, however. There is a fire that burns within her veins, and should you feed that fire, you will get burned.
Kilena du'Kasi Arashikage of Clan Derak'tul. She is two years of age, with brown eyes and purple wings, and light brown hair. She is the daughter of Katamai and Seliah, but takes after her father's Morbian side in appearence and ability, and her mother's side in attitude and personality.
Kilena, while only four years old, she holds a wisdom and caring that goes far beyond her years. She is a strong empath, and seems to have some kind of connection with the Morbian Goddess, Isla. She has manifested at least a part of the Goddess in herself on occasion. Her purple wings are feathered, unlike her mothers, and every feather along the bottom row of each wing is tipped with diamond. Unlike the rest of her feathers, these diamond tipped ones do not fall out.
She can feel at all times the emotional state of anyone in the room with her, as she has not yet learned how to shield this type of thing out due to her age. Her feathers hold a magical quality to them as well. When they fall out, they are almost immediately replaced with new ones, and the feathers will crystallize, and then melt into whatever surface they touch, usually leaving an air of gentle sereness in the area, if one is in tune to that type of thing. She does also have the ability to crystallize her feathers in such a way that they will resemble a heavy, durable stained glass that does not melt away. She also has manifested what has come to be called as "Blood of Isla" when under extreme empathic stress. Her hands, from the fingers, and her wings bleed when in this state. Also, her crystallizing tears become tears of blood as well. She always sheds tears in this state, and she will leave a large amount of blood from it as well, though it does not seem to be her own, and there is never any form of injury from where the blood seems to come from. This child feels others' pain and upset, and joy and happiness as well...as her own. As if she herself were feeling it. She will go out of her way to attempt to help another person feel better if at all possible, and it greatly distresses her to see others in pain of any kind, be it physical or emotional.
Though she is too young to fight, she would not fight in any case, unless she seemed to be facing death herself. She is able to cause all blood vessels and blood carrying parts inside one's body to collapse on themselves and bleed out when she feels threatened like this. In addition to the standard vampire shifts that all Morbians have, she is also capable of shifting into the form of a small housecat...a Maine Coon kitten, to be precise. Whatever else she is capable of, at this time is unknown to either her, or her parents......
