Stepping back inside the Inn, you move out to the front porch. Really much more to see out here, anyway. There's the lake in front of you, and around the Inn, to you're right, behind the stables and across the trading road, and in fact leading around back behind the Inn at the base of the hill is the forest.

     The forest is quite dense. A typical forest for this kind of temperate area. Most of it's trees lose their leaves in the winter, to gain them back again in the spring and summer. This is a thick woody area, the forest between the Kingdome of Tessian and the lands of the Sunset Moon Inn hide many secrets, and many things. Two of which would be the Morbian Clans of Derak'tul and Sherahk. The Derak'tul live in the woods themselves, though they are initially from somewhat farther south. The Sherahk currently reside somewhere in the mountains, which are only reachable via the forest, and the Sherahk do wander down towards the Inn a ways, every now and then, though for some reason they seem to keep a polite distance away from the Clan Derak'tul -- including the Inn, as it is technically of the Derak'tul as well.

     This forest hosts the usual critters...plenty of small and some large game, a few nomads that pass through here, another shortcut towards the Kingdome of Tessian, and every now and then fairies and elves make their presence known as well.
