The Delightful Villagers on Delphi were founded as an online community for Department 56 collectors on May 13, 1993. Over the years, our membership has grown from a few members to the large group it is today. Most of our members have become more of a family than just a collectors group. We have had chat sessions from the very start, and have held get-togethers at most of the major Department 56 collectors shows over the years. Recently, we approached the NCC (National Council of 56 Clubs) to become an official member club. We were granted membership by the NCC in November of 1998. We are looking forward to becoming an active participant in NCC functions in the future.
Now, why should you become a member of the Delightful Villagers? Well, if you are a collector of Department 56 Villages, Snowbabies, etc, then you may want to meet other collectors with similar interests. You may want to swap display ideas, share interesting stories about your villages or maybe just have a friendly talk with someone. Maybe you are looking for a special piece or have a few extras that you want to get rid of. Plus, our web pages are a source of the latest news, history lists, display photos, etc. In short, just about anything you may need to help further your enjoyment of the hobby.
