Wash Water

It tickled me to feel love
Again. I fell for her cleanly
And in no time we were lovers.

Like hydrogen and oxygen
Violently forming water,
We were released and calmed
By making love.

When showering together, we
Learned what ticklish meant.

When she left me, I felt
The water under my nails
And it still tickled to be in love,

Only I didn't know anymore
The meaning of love.
