Vibrating Lowers ??   Fix 'em !!

'

So the lower part of my lowers were vibrating at certain RPM's and it was driving me crazy (I know it's a short trip, but that's another story).

I went to Lowe's and bought a 4 foot piece of 1/4 inch aluminum channel trim for about $5 and cut it to fit the bottom of the lowers.  I used some automotive double-face tape to attach them to the lowers and no more noisy vibration and it looks like it belongs on there.

I found that using solvent on the tape right before putting the trim on allowed for it to slide right on and then it stuck good when the solvent dried.  This is a trick I saw my dad use when putting new grips on his golf clubs.  I had to use the double face tape on both side to fill the gap but only exposed the adhesive on the front side to make getting it on the lowers eaiser.  I walked around Lowe's and Menards for an hour today looking for the right "something" to fix this with.  I hit 'em with some 1500 wet sand paper then Mother's Alum. Polish and they look great.
