Correct Installation Of Push Rods

Sometimes, we get soooo wrapped up in working on the engine and doing the small stuff for improvements and such, we forget where certain parts go back in, <G>. This is true, especially for the pushrods and their location within the correct lifters, <G>. **This has happened to me also folks, LOL ! !

One of THE simplest explanations of which pushrod goes with 'what' lifter , , or , , the correct placement of a pushrod with the correct lifter , , , was explained to me by Jim from Minnesota ! ! !

Here's Jim's statement;   The 'in' is the out , , and , , the 'out' is the in !

Now, doesn't that make it simplier, LOL ? ? ? ?    AWW-Rite , , I'll 'explain' it, LOL ! !

*The 'in' is the out;

The 2 'inside' lifters, which are closest to the cylinders, are for the EXHAUST, <out> , ,  pushrods/valves, for BOTH cylinders.

*The 'out' is the in;

The 2 'outside' lifters, which are fartherest 'away' from the engine , , are for the INTAKE, <in> , , pushrods/valves, for BOTH cylinders.

REGARDLESS what year your RoadStar is , , this is true for ALL of them ! ! !

Thanks Jim ! ! !
