Float Bowl Adjustment

There's a lot of folks out there that get a little confused when trying to adjust the level on the bike ,off the bike, going to & fro from the bench to the carb, in the shower, on top of the roof, etc., etc., etc., <G>.

Here's the simpliest way to explain 'HOW' to adjust the FUEL level of the float, regardless of what position the carb is in, (I hope this is simple for folks), <G>;

Do NOT look at the float itself ! !     Repeat;       Do NOT LOOK at the float itself ! ! !

Concentrate on the metal 'tab' of the float ! ! !   Concentrate on the metal 'tab' of the float ! ! !

*** If you want the FUEL level to be higher;    Bend the 'tab' , , , AWAY , , , from the seat/needle.

*** If you want the FUEL level to be lower;      Bend the 'tab' , , , TOWARDS , , , the seat/needle.

*This works on about 99% of the carbs out. There's ALWAYS an exception with exotic carbs. So far, ALL the carbs that have been adapted to the Road Star, (that I've seen anywho's), falls under these instructions.

Hope this helps some folks,
