Kevin's Description:

After being “bike-less” for a couple of years, my son wanted to start riding.

At the suggestion of my wife, I bought a 2006 V Star so I could ride with my son.

(My son currently rides a 2007 Honda VTX 1300c, he started with a Honda Shadow 750)

It wasn’t long until I knew I wanted a Road Star!

Since that time, my wife and daughter have taken the MSF course, and are licensed riders.

My wife rides a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750, and my daughter just bought her first bike,
a 2006 Honda Rebel.  This should be a great summer of family riding….I can’t wait!

I sold my V Star in April of 2007, and bought my 2007 Road Star Silverado.
I can honestly say this bike is awesome, and I can’t imagine wanting to ride anything else.

Although my Roadie is a “work in progress”, here are the mod’s I have done so far……..with more to come!

2007 Road Star Silverado – Liquid Silver/Cobalt Blue

Cobra Power Pro HP 2 into 1 exhaust
Yamaha luggage rack
Yamaha small engine guards
Kuryakyn Dually Iso Pegs w/ Longhorn offsets
Crankcase breather relocated w/ Emgo chrome filter
BAK – “Enferno” BAK cover
Chrome rectifier cover
Ultimate drivers seat
Ultimate passenger pillion w/ driver backrest (Thanks Santa!)
Kuryakyn ISO grips
Factory Silverado windshield – trimmed about 1 ˝”
Yamaha lowers
Baron’s DT risers
Chrome Baron’s master cylinder cover – “Flame”
Chrome fork cap covers
“Push” throttle cable removed, running single cable
Wired for GPS plug w/ Ram Mount for GPS unit
Chrome side covers – yep, Santa again!

(I’m sure I’m missing something!)

I am currently working with Joel on carb. tuning, so the bike is apart……..again!
Here is the setup we are starting with:

165 main jet
Ported stock intake manifold (Thank you Joel!)
Max Mix pro PMS needle, set at 1 ˝ turns from seated
Baron’s needle – c clip on 3rd notch, white spacer and 2 washers
Accel. pump screw turned in to just a “hint” of a squirt, but this will probably change as tuning progresses.
Float level set correctly

Plans for the future?  More chrome accessories, of course!

Thanks again for the BOW honors, and all the help, suggestions, and friendships
that have come my way thru the Road Star Project Forum!
