Road Star
2000 Road Star – Purple
37.000 Miles
I purchased this bike new in September of 2000 and started to work on it in spring of 2001. My intention was to keep it clean looking cruiser that did not look over done. In keeping with this theme I was careful to select items that added to the bike in a subtle way.
Over the years this bike was my daily rider and has seen many a rainy day. It has always performed without issue and has only been in the shop one time for the transmission recall work. Other than that I have done everything to the bike along the way. In ’06 I purchased a Venture so I now ride the Roadie only on the nice days (or try to anyway) so the mileage has reduced to about 3,000 per year. The Venture has taken the bulk of the mileage over the last few years so I figure at this rate the Roadie should last me a really long time. This is good because I have such a love for this bike that I can’t imagine being without it.
