Robinson's Place Home Page by Moby

This page's primary purpose is to provide links for people interested in Spider Robinson and who have visited, or would like to visit, Robinson's Place on Delphi, started by Peg in early November 2001. I've been to two of Spider's readings and have set up a couple of pages for the photos I took then. Suggestions are welcome as are any photos of Spider and/or Jeanne you might care to share. - Moby, November 2001

Also, check out The Stonebender Project, a listing of characters from Spider's stories and novels about Callahan's Saloon. This ongoing project was started in October 2002.

Our thanks to Teddi Stransky for sharing this photo of Spider, taken at a convention in Ann Arbor, Michigan in January 1978, at a Holiday Inn where the doors to the rooms, which opened to the outside, kept freezing shut. Read all about it.

Who's Moby?

By the way, my name's Dick Wales. I live in the Portland, Oregon area after moving from Massachusetts in the summer of 2000. I used to do typesetting, then I spent 11 years paginating newspapers.

After an online friend suggested the nickname Moby to me back in 1991, I've used it in several BBSes, chat rooms, and forums. I'm Dick to people who have met me offline, Moby to those who've met me online, even if we meet offline.

When Peg set up Robinson's Place, I first volunteered to host a Punday Night chat. Then I got a Delphi Plus membership, which includes 5 Mb for web space. I already have a website elsewhere, so using the Delphi space for pages related to Robinson's Place struck me as a good idea.
