The photos on this page were taken from 1968
through about 1978, and represent some of the different dressing stages
in my life story. Please read my memoirs for more details.
I took this in my parent's bedroom, sometime during my senior year (1968). The blouse and miniskirt were my older sister's (as were the pettipants), the fishnets were my Mom's. Note the shoes: I had found them behind a clothing store, in the trash. I think they were previously worn by a mannequin in the display window
Photo taken in my sister's old room at my parents house. All these clothes here were "acquired" from customers while working on the job. The boots and pantsuit top (worn as a dress) were the ones I had to take a lie detector test over.
This was taken in the townhouse I shared with my unsuspecting roomate. I wore this to the Gold Dollar Show Bar contest in Detroit on Halloween in 1972, my first public outing completely dressed (except for Halloween when I was 10). This picture also accompanied my first classified ad in an F.I. Magazine.
Taken in the living room of our first house back in 1975, shortly after our marriage. Note the bodysuit, boots and miniskirt! I was still skinny enough to wear my wife's clothes (she can no longer wear most of MY female clothes). This was shortly after I told my wife of my dressing 'hobby'.
This
was taken in about
1978, about the time I started to attend Crossroads
Chapter meetings. Please note the more sedate clothing style, those
crazy shoes, and believe it or not, those are seamed pantyhose too! I
wore
this outfit to straight restaurants when I went out with my TV friend,
'Al'. I wore this outfit to the "Lady's Night" party in January of 1997
(w/o the shoes or seamed pantyhose). Our dog died in 1980.
These are but a few selections from my personal photo archive. See
Book
2 for pictures from 1979 to 1990.
