Row Counter Bracelet

Knitter's/Crocheter's
Row Counter Bracelet

Material:

Cord [doubled as shown]
Elastic line .5mm for stopper
Glue
Beads: [9] - 6mm faceted
[10] - 8mm faceted [sample is 10mm. I ran out of 8]
[5] - 6mm for stopper
[1] - 8mm for end
[1] - 12mm or larger  for opposite end or use a charm if you wish

Assemble bracelet as shown in the picture. Add a dab of glue to the fisherman's knot tying the bracelet together. You can also glue the clear beads to the knot so they don't move but that is not necessary. You can also want to put a bit of glue on the knot on the stopper and pull the knot through one of the beads to ensure that it doesn't come loose.

The bracelet consists of two rows of beads, a stopper to separate the beads
representing the completed rows, and a very large bead to differentiate the side of the bracelet containing the beads that represent the completed rows.

Instructions:

Place your bracelet around your wrist or keep it somewhere close at hand while you are working. All the beads should be on one side of the stopper away from the very large bead. The smaller beads represent a single row and the larger bead represent a set of ten rows.

Knit your first row. Now move one of the smaller beads through the stopper toward the very large bead.

Knit your second row. Move another small bead through the stopper toward the very large bead…Continue in this manner for nine rows. All small beads will now be on the side with the very large bead.

When you knit the tenth row, move one large bead through the stopper toward
the very large bead, and move all the smaller beads back through the stopper
away from the very large bead side.

You are now ready to begin rows 11-19 and they will be counted by moving the smaller beads through the stopper toward the very large bead side.

When you get to row 20, move a large bead toward the very large bead side and move the smaller beads back through the stopper to the side away from the very large bead. Continue in this manner until your project is complete.

This counter will keep count of a maximum of 100 rows…if your pattern exceeds this amount of rows, just continue the process until you have reached the number of rows for your project.

I hope you enjoy your bracelet…

Hugs, Carol Ann J
